Dr. Yasamin Shirazi was born in New Westminster and raised in White Rock, attending H.T. Thrift, White Rock Elementary, and Earl Marriott Secondary. She completed all of her post-secondary education at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Shirazi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology, and in 2006, she received her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree. Shortly after, she joined the clinic of her childhood dentist and lifelong mentor, Dr. John Burgess, until his passing.
Dr. Shirazi strongly believes that dental treatment philosophies need to align for a strong, patient-centered approach. June 2018, Dr. Shirazi was excited to find this high level of care with Dr. Nick Fiorvento’s team in Brookswood, Langley.
Dr. Shirazi has taken part in numerous continuing education courses over the years and several dental study clubs. She is currently a member of the Northwest Endodontic Study Club and Seminar since 2017.
In Brookswood, Dr. Shirazi strives to use her training and experience to provide quality dental treatment with a gentle touch. In her free time, she enjoys walking to Crescent Beach, travelling, and spending time with her family.
